The cherries are finally ripe here. Even though they’re a little waterlogged from all the rain, the ones at our place, which are the tart cooking variety, are quite nice. I’ve been picking, sorting and pitting them. While I’m slightly embarrassed by the way the first finished tart looked, the process was fun and the flavor was excellent.
